Rochdale families headed to the town’s shopping centre during the half-term holidays to enjoy a frightfully fun ghost-busting themed event to celebrate the spooky season.

On Saturday, 29 October, parents and their children flocked to Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre to enjoy a Halloween spooktacular, including everything from pumpkin carving and balloon modelling to face painting and a themed backdrop for photos. Plus, the centre’s mini ghost hunters were joined by a ghost-busting squad.

Lorenzo O’Reilly, Centre Manager at Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre, said the Halloween celebrations had been a huge success, with everyone having a fantastic time with the ghost busting team. “We were delighted to see so many people enjoying the free spooky activities during the school holidays,” he said. “The centre was buzzing with excitement all day and lots of shoppers took photos with the squad.”

As part of the shopping centre’s event, youngsters were able to enjoy free Halloween crafts throughout the day. “It was brilliant to see so many children taking part,” said Lorenzo. “They chose from one of three creepy designs for the ghost busting team to carve into their pumpkin and were able to take home an LED tea light to accompany their decorated pumpkins. Plus, to get everyone in the mood for Halloween, children could be transformed into little monsters by our incredible face painter.

“We hope the people of Rochdale had a brilliant time and enjoyed ‘Halloween Ghost Busting’ at the centre as much as we all did.”
